The Iconorm reinforced insulated elements for sandwich panels, produced to be used in horizontal shuttering systems, can contain besides the reinforcement and the spacers also a lot of the installation techniques. For example cabling, pluming, ventilation and heating. First the decision has to be made wither the shuttering and the concrete or the insulation and the shuttering will make contact. If the concrete will make contact to the shuttering, the integration of the infrastructure will be a bigger problem than the other way around.

In the case above, first a layer of concrete is poured in to the shuttering, afterwards the Iconorm insulation element is placed. By vibrating the concrete, the insulated reinforced element will sag in the fresh concrete until the level of the insulation. Therefore a after treatment with plasterwork, depending on the quality of the shuttering system, can be excluded.

In the second case, the Iconorm element will be placed first in the shuttering before the concrete is poured. Afterwards the concrete will be skimmed. A after treatment of the wall is necessary most of the time.

Of course it is possible to install brickwork anchorage to make it possible to install the brickwork faç ade without a mechanical processing of the walls.
